Artwork: Algebar. SMK Fridays, Copenhagen Materiales: Algae growing in installation. Glass, metal, tubes, plants, drinks Collaboration: Amanda Baum Year: 2017 Link: www.algebar.dk

Since 2015, Algebar has appeared at various art events, festivals, theaters and private events. Algebar was initiated by Amanda Baum in collaboration with Copenhagen based citizen science labs Bioteket and Biologigaragen, and has since been re-developed and installed together with Naja Ryde Ankarfeldt, Rose Leahy and Heidi Maribut.

Algebar is a pop-up art-science project serving spirulina infused beer in an immersive algae growing installation. Whilst harnessing one of our future's most promising energy and food sources, Algebar inspires alternative ways of welcoming the green super-organisms into our everyday lives.
